High score for Vella in Luxembourg nationals

Chris Vella won the Masters category in the Taekwondo National Championships (technical competition) of Luxembourg which were held recently in Grevenmacher.

Apart from the Masters title, Vella also captured a trophy for the highest score recorded in the championships.

Around 40 athletes from clubs in Luxembourg took part. Vella scored between 9.2 and 9.4 points in three rounds.

A former Malta Taekwondo Federation president, Vella currently resides in Germany and works for the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
