Fico to Visit Luxembourg on Thursday

Bilateral relations will be the key issue discussed during Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s one-day visit to Luxembourg on Thursday, it was reported on Wednesday.

Fico is set to meet Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and the country’s Premier Jean-Claude Juncker in Luxembourg city.

Other topics discussed during Fico’s visit will include further co-operation within the EU, between the Visegrad Four group (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary) and the Benelux countries, and within other international institutions.

The Slovak premier is also due to meet Luxembourg’s leading entrepreneurs, and will deliver a speech on Slovakia’s current economic and financial development with particular emphasis on the country’s efforts to join the eurozone as of January 2009.
